A large number of sensors are deployed for performing various tasks in the smart cities. The connected with each other through Internet that leads to emergence Things (IoT). As time passes, is exponentially increasing. Not only this, enhancement has also laid base automation. However, increased make IoT networks more complex and scaled. Due increasing size complexity, scale-free nature found highly prone attacks. In order maintain functionality crucial applications, it mandatory increase robustness networks. Additionally, been resistant random they vulnerable intentional, malicious, deliberate, targeted cyber attacks where nodes destroyed based on preference. Moreover, network have limited communication, processing energy resources. Hence, cannot bear load computationally extensive algorithms. communication model proposed this paper save from computational overhead algorithms by migrating back-end high power clusters. Elephant Herding Robustness Evolution (EHRE) algorithm an enhanced model. work, 6 phases operations used: initialization, sorting, clan updating, separating,selection formation, filtration. These process collectively EHRE compared well-known previous proven be robust a remarkable lead performance. capable achieve global optimum results less iterations. achieves 95% efficiency after 60 iterations 99% 70 performs 58.77% better than Enhanced Differential (EDE) algorithm, 65.22% Genetic Algorithm (GA), 86.35% Simulating Annealing (SA) 94.77% Hill climbing (HA).
